1/4″ Polycarbonate Doors
People are sometimes not sure if they should get 1/4″ polycarbonate to replace their glass. If that is you we have one question for you….did your glass keep you safe? If so, then our 1/4″ polycarbonate is perfect for you. Our 1/4″ is great for replacing glass for general work. If you feel like you might buy a mulcher head or another attachment then we encourage you to upgrade to the 1/2″ for safety reasons. Another point I would like to share is that polycarbonate is FLEXIBLE. Polycarbonate’s strength comes from its ability to flex. Some applications ¼” will flex and have movement due to how it is installed in your cab. If this will bother you, we recommend looking at our 3/8” or ½” thicknesses.

Will the existing door hardware work if we bought a 1/2 polycarbonate door, replacing the factory glass?

Great question. Yes, all of your original hardware will work for our 1/2″ door! We mill the sides down so there is no extra work for you. If you want to read more about it you can check out this article.

Great question. Polycarbonate is a soft material and does scratch easily. That is why we post-coat our products. We shape them and then apply our silicone hard coating to both sides. Our

We do have a replacement door for CAT 289D. As for freight, the cost can vary depending on the day. However, to Pennsylvania our previous customers were charged anywhere from $60-$80 depending on the product they ordered. If you order online there is a section during checkout that you can select what shipping is best for you as well.

Hi Jason – thank you for the inquiry. We have a couple of Kubota Ex windshields, but we are working on adding more. We use glass numbers to make sure we have what you need. Do you have glass numbers for that model? If so, I can let you know if we currently make that.

Do you make top front window for Cat 320D, OEM# 156-6472? What would that cost? What thickness would you recommend for construction use, i.e., concrete pavement demolition and removal.
Hi Carlos, thank you for the question. We do make that model, you can use the link below to see it in our store. Cost-wise you are looking at the following depending on the thickness you need – 1/4″: $355.55, 3/8″: $472.51, 1/2″: $566.70.
As for which thickness to get for general construction 3/8″ would be a good gauge for you; however, with demolition, the 1/2″ would keep the operator the safest from any debris that could come back at the door.

I saw your YouTube video about the installation of this windshield on a Kubota SVL Compact Track Loader. I have a Kubota SVL75-2 and am looking for this windshield WITHOUT the holes pre-drilled for the windshield wiper motor. The reason is because the replacement wiper motor from Kubota is almost $500 and I cannot seem to find it anywhere else. I would prefer to purchase an after market wiper motor for skids steers which can be found from many suppliers for a fraction of the cost and drill the holes myself. Can this be done, and if so, what would the method be to drill the holes?

I will be ordering a windshield for my 2016 john deere 318g. My previous one literally just exploded when i shut the door an hour ago. I don’t know how many hinge holes it has off the top of my head but will look and order in morning. I was also wondering…inhave a 1999 telex ss-636. I am not sure if I ever had a side, back and windshield but wondering if it did (there are bolt holes like it could hold glass) would you be able to provide? If not do you custom cut any polycarbonate?

I have a 317G compact loader that I purchased your 1/2″ forestry door for and waited for the 90 day manufacture. It arrived and doesn’t fit well at all. The hinge side is misshapen sso badly that I can pass my hand between the frame and the polycarbonate. Very discouraged by this. I’ll be returning it and will expect an immediate replacement. Your mistake. No wait time.

What is the clarity of your guys vs glass.
Getting muddy

Great question. We take pride in the high optical clarity that we have in our windshields. We start with the highest quality sheet in the market, and then, with our forming capabilities, we get maximum clarity and performance out of the windshield. Our SUPERCOAT hard coating then is applied and gives a protective layer to retain this clarity and keep it from scratching. Compared to glass, we have a very similar look; many get them mixed up. When you mention it getting muddy, the difference comes when you go to clean the windshield. We do have a recommended cleaning process, mostly lots of water and some dish soap, to clean it.
